Help Rev Counter issue!

Please can anyone help! I have a 96/97 Cors a b 1.216v trip its has the electronic clocks, I wanted a rev counter so bought some on eBay, thought it would be a straight swap over BUT sadly no! Part numbers but shouldn't they just work anyway? Please help I am a new old boy at this kind of thing so I am learning as I go! If anyone lives near Borehamwood and is willing to show me, I would be grateful

Have you bought electric rev counter clocks ?
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway :thumbs:
