Bonnet raiser help?
Put them on today and here's what happens...
There sitting on the two black plastic trims and won't allow the bonnet arms to retract and the one bracket is about 2-3 cm's out on the drivers side not allowing me to bolt the back of the hinge on. Really had to force the drivers hinge for me to get one bolt in...
There sitting on these:
Any ideas guys?.

Entitled to your opinion pal but I love the look of a raised bonnet , we all have out own taste and that what makes the world of modifying unique and so on .
Apparently my mate who made them says he ain't got the black trims on his car that's blocking them... And I can't remove them from mine either

Re: Bonnet raiser help?
Just cut the bit that sits under th scutle on the passenger side and just bodge it in on drivers noones going to see it anyway
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

The brackets it's self pal, they are actually sat on top of the two black trims, the brackets are facing in towards the bay so it's putting the brackets am hinges in further....if that makes sense...johnny wrote:Whats actuly catching is it the hinge itself or bolts on th lifter plate
If you like the brackets are bolted strait on to the bonnet so there matching the slope in the bonnet...

Re: Bonnet raiser help?
If it was me id cut the passenger side and rip the trim out of the drivers side as its only wires inside it so take the wires out tape em up with black tape, other than that your goin to have to bend the hinge which id advise againstHarkus wrote:The brackets it's self pal, they are actually sat on top of the two black trims, the brackets are facing in towards the bay so it's putting the brackets am hinges in further....if that makes sense...johnny wrote:Whats actuly catching is it the hinge itself or bolts on th lifter plate
