The engine in my 8v 1.4 SRi has gone bang !
What is involved in fitting a x14xe in it's place and what bits do I need ?
Before anyone starts to tell me to fit a 2.0 redtop etc., don't waste your time. I want (need) to keep it at 1400 for the class I compete in on rallies.

Mounts(not 100%) do you standard gearbox or using a sequencil, depending on box you may need new clocks wired, and a corsa sport loom
Would you not move up to 1600?
Would you not move up to 1600?
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

What do you mean by mounts not 100% ?
I am using a standard box.
Don't want to move up to 1600.
I guess I'll need the ecu & transponder from the x14xe. Will this plug into the existing loom ?

Engine mounts, i think there different but not sure
You need a new gearbox mount then or you keeping the old gearbox?
No you will need a 1.4/1.6 corsa sport 16v loom and its just plug and play then
