Post by andy w »

Hi guys in new to this site my 98 corsa has the engine management light turning on when the car gets the 90 degrees mark. It doesn't affect any thing performance wise and when i turn the engine off then back on the light switches off but turns back on after a while. I have been told it possibly is ect sensor but any help will be appreciated thanks

Do the paperclip test to get your fault code(s)

What is the ect? Hard to tell what sensor is gone since its not effecting the car so you need the fault codes
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Tried the paper clip test and all it did for ten minutes was flash number 12 on the list of problems which weren't anything

It shouldnt flash a code more than 4 times as it flashs each code twice then it repeats the codes again, so it shouldnt be flashing same cide for 10 mins
