Engine temps...

Post by PowerPie5000 »

What is everyone's engine temp usually running at?

My Corsa B SXi is usually hovering just above the 90c mark and can reach the half way mark (95c) if i'm stuck in traffiic... That's usually when the fan kicks in. Does all this sound about right? The highest number on my temp gauge is 100c and i've never seen it come close to that end (which is a good thing :)).

Mine stays just below 90 while driving and rapidly shoots up if stoped for like 5 mins, but iv wired the fan on a switch so i control when its on/off
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

What engine do you have? I'll take mine for a blast on the motorway to see if the temps stay under control (got a long journey coming up in a couple of weeks).

X12xe my 1 litre did the same, tbh it only shoots up fast on warm days with cold air blowing
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway
