Lowering

Post by Barraclough »

Decided I'm going to lower 60mm. I'm a bit of an amateur at this so need a bit of help. Got people to help to do the job just gathering parts. I can get rear and front springs for £50 ish. The product info says use with shortened shock absorbers, is this a must and how much am I looking at. Thanks.

Its a must for handling and stanard shocks dont last -60 mil your looking at around 20 a shock from fk or buy these http://www.ebay.ie/itm/COIL-OVER-COILOV ... 1115596501 id make an offer around 120
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Decided I'm going to go through with lowering but going with 40mm. Hope this improves the look of my car as much as I'm hoping. Time to start a project log in the next few days hoping for some suggestions and opinions :)

When mine was 40mm on standard shocks I felt the same way that Johnny does.. Wasn't a nice thing to drive. Now it's 60mm on updated shocks it's a hell of a lot better :)

Cheers for the advise, probably will go 60mm then. Will speed bumps cause much of a problem, some horrible bumps near me :S

Mine droped 60 with uprated shocks never scraped but now with 40 and stanard shocks it scrapes on all big ramps because of the body roll and the shocks cinpressing more than they should

Had my first on on 60mm spring standard shockers and wasnt nice to drive but looked good

the one i have now is on Gmax shockers and 80mm spring rides like a dream no body roll and sticks to the road like poo to a blanket
