1.2 16v Polar Sea Blue

Post by RyanBury »

Bought my 1.2 16v Polar Sea Blue for £400 about 6 months ago with 111000 miles. It was incredibly sluggish and couldn't go over 50mph or 2500rpm. After replacing near enough every sensor, EGR, coil pack, plugs and fuel filter, finally managed to fix it with a MAF I got for a tenner at the scrappy  .

Exhaust hanging low in the middle, think it's just missing a mount.

What I've done to it:

Sub, speakers and head unit
Blue LED conversion inside
Custom LEDs behind heater controls
New rear number plate (MOT advisory)
Wheel trims on steelies

Plans:

Want some 3 spoke corsa alloys
Lower 40mm
Fix exhaust (eventually get a better one)
Really want a GSI kit but they're hard to come by! Probably just paint the black bits for now

In the (very) distant future, drop a new engine in. Maybe a 1.6 or C20XE.

Going to be an incredibly long drawn out process due to lack of funds and time. Commute to uni so it can never really be off the road :(

Will try and get some pics up soon. Look forward to your comments!

Edit:
Just a pic of the car until I can take some more in the day light

Welcome to the site mate :) love this colour! Plans sound god too mate :) I would lower it 60mm as you won't see much difference with the 40mm drop :) and being 60mm does not affect speed bumps much you just hae to go slower :)

Cheers guys :) with regards to lowering, I was thinking 40mm as my commute to uni every day is about 70% speed bumps :( prob will do 40mm and see how it goes, then maybe do 60mm later on

Looks good:)

Best way to get rid of them dents is with a gas welding torch belive it or not:lol: expands the metal to orginal shape

Plasma dials will look cool
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway
