Recommend Suspension Kits
Hi,
Putting some 15 inch wheels on my corsa b, don't want no cheap kit for £100 as I've done that before and they weren't the best.
So far I've found some Bilstein B10 kit for £480 which is quite expensive.
Theres a Koni STR.T thats half the price but only lowers 35mm and thought that might still look tractorish.
A lot of kits seem to only lower 30-40mm the decent ones, where as the B10 lowers 55mm which be fine.
If anyone could recommend any that lower 50-60mm be a big help.
cheers

Re: Recommend Suspension Kits
Well I wouldn't want to spend anymore than the £480 on b10s.
konis would of been better at half the price.
just looking to do cheap as possible for a reputable brand.
thanks

JOM are a good brand and cost around the 200 mark and are a good fim ride till 60-70 mill they go to 100 but after 70 they dont fell as good
Pro sport goes to 60mil and is another good budget brand

If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Re: Recommend Suspension Kits
I have jom on the front down to 100mm were fine with cav slabs but since got the wider wheels not stiff enough which is why I had to get gaz for the rear as the rear springs and shocks werent good enough to much movement so made scrub.
So if you getting wheels that will tuck in arches jom are fine even lowered 100mm I found

Re: Recommend Suspension Kits
Do jom do shocks or just coilovers? Ones ive seen on the net so far are coilovers that lower 30-60mm or something.

Re: Recommend Suspension Kits
Its a choice between koni str.t and jom coilovers, both similar priced. Heard the konis are quite bog standard considering their konis so probably not much difference in build quality.
would of had the b10s but would cost 615 by time fitted them and thats crazy money considering I didnt pay much more than that for the whole car, plus my partner would go mad.
just spent 260 on alloys, £200 gonna be on shocks plus £140 labour. £250 to get my bumpers resprayed.
did want a full respray but just the money cos was quoted 800-1000 which ain't bad but still a lot considering the rest of the stuff ive bought and my partner doesnt get why I wanna spend all this money on a 14 year old car but this is my 4th corsa b and i never get tired.
