You havnt it pushed back enough, and pull the rubber covers off the stalk till you get it in then the boot fits into the slot
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway
force it,
If it breaks,

just can't get the last back screw right at te bottom so will later with use of the mrs small fingers lol
