Engine in - no fuel/spark - but one electrical connector

Post by corse_ican »

I've plugged the connector into that earth point on the back of the engine block (which can be seen in the photo below), but this one electrical connector continues off that loom and gets to about here.

Photo is taken from underneath the car. Plug is resting on top of the starter:

Hoping someone can help? :)

What engine was in, whats in now? What loom is it
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Hi there, and apologies for the newb error. I'll update my sig.

It's a Corsa b - X12XE 1.2 16v AUTO

I've just put a replacement engine in, which is the same spec as original.

I've put the origincal ECU onto this engine.

Everything has been connected back up EXCEPT this one plug.

I've looked and looked, and I just can't figure it out, or see an empty socket that i might connect to anywhere!

As i say, the same loom has a plug on it which goes to the Earth point on the back of the block.

Hoping that someone might know...or could have a look on their motor for me please?

Ok Will do. Here's some better pictures of it that might help to identify. It has 90 degree corner moulding to it.

Tracing just a little way back on that same loom is the plug to an earth point on the back of the block.
