Hi Folks,
Got a 96 Corsa B Merit with no cigarette lighter but Id like to install one for my Sat nav.
Have read through previous cig lighter posts and just want to clarify - do all Corsa B's not have the same loom, ie will the cig lighter plugs not necessarily be present?
I removed the stereo, ashtray assembly and all the insulation tape off the wiring behind that area but cannot find any plugs so Im wondering is it definitely there. (previously installed the radio'clock display & found the plugs for that taped up so Id assumed all wiring looms would be the same regardless of the level of trim fitted)?
If the plugs arent there can I splice a live wire from the stereo to power the cig lighter and if so which colour wire? Cheers

It should definatly be there all looms are the same, but it can be taped up anywhere behind the dash tbh, and yeah you could wire it up yourself, i will get the wire colours later im just to tired and hungover to look through wiring diagrams
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Re: Installing a cigarette lighter
Theres two red wires to.the radio one is a fused prem live and the other is an ign live so splice into either and earth the other end of the plug to the brown.of the radio, or run a cable to the earth on the left or right of the bulkhead
