My car i bought after it being owned from new by 1 old bloke, its in near perfect condition as it was sat in a warm garage with central heating pipes going through it so no erosion has happened, but it was sat for around 7 years in the garage after being used for the first 5 years then being sat and used afew times a year, but after it being sat for 7 years ive bought it and im looking to put it through its MOT some time in the next two weeks, nothings seized but im worried about emissions, any ideas if this or anything else will be a problem, it runs and everything fine just want to clear it up so it has the best shot of passing

Re: MOT
Just give it a service and hope for the best really, best way imo so you have a fail sheet so you know what to fix instead of guessing and maybe spending more than you should
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

It's also a good way of seeing how good/bad your test center is, we had an old corsa come in last year to put it threw the test, it belonged to an old woman who owned it from New and the there was a crack in the chassis leg but the boy testing it passed it lol you'd be amazed and shocked by what passes sometimes
