If you unplug a working sensor it shouldn't affect how it runs as the settings the sensor is reading will be very close with ecu stock reading
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Ok, got a new map sensor.. plugged it in. Same problem came back. What else runs in line with the MAP to adjust fuelling/Timing?

The icv should be next to change
When the map is unplugged it affects the icv, when the ecu is controlling the air intake it automatically tells the icv to go to default setting

But the car idles fine now.. weather the map is plugged in or not. The missfire is still present with the map plugged in. But the missfire goes when the map is unplugged. If the car is idling then the problem has to be somewhere other than the icv.

You said it happened when you clutch? That's when the icv has its real job to do

If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Its not so much the idling.. its the timing. With the map plugged in you can hear the injectors dumping fuel into the engine at the wrong time causing the engine to knock.. when you unplug the map.. the thing runs smooth, no stalling, no knocking or anything.

Tbh then your best taking it to a garage, if the timing belt has slipped a tooth it will need resetting to tdc and original marks
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway
