Re: Corsa Sting C20LET
Bit of an update, keeps the pics in order
Collected a few bits over the past weeks.
I won the bid on these Harry Hockly uniballs on eBay at a steal
And some more bits came through the post from Power Flex, FloFlex and I also nipped to see Klint at Compbrake for top mounts and track rod ends.
I also picked up my gearbox yesterday from Andy at GEAR's in Southport. A top bloke and a great service too.
It's had the casing soda blasted, all the syncro's replaced, all new bearings and seals and a good overhaul and rebuild with a Quafie LSD fitted.
I've also dropped my engine off with John at the Head-Shop in Warrington. It's getting the head and block soda blasted and machine work done along with all the clearances, measurement’s checked and assembled
A couple more Gauges turned up. I decided to have a little play and see what they will look like arranged in place.
I've ousted the Narrowband for a proper Wideband. I've got Oil Pressure, Oil Temp, Fuel Pressure, Boost and Volts.
I'm well happy with how its going to look. Also everything will be flocked apart from the Carbon when its in the car
Back to the painters
One last pic on the ramps getting keyed.
And ready for prep then paint
I built the beam up ready to take to the painters.
Back to the painters.
Masked up and prepped. The quarters are not getting done as they are mint. As are the doors and wings so it would be a waste.
Seam sealed.
Stone chip on.
First dusting of blue.
Final coat and lacquer.
Pics from my phone.
Git the shell rolling. It looks fantastic!
Big grin!!!

Re: Corsa Sting C20LET
Nice one for the comments.
Well... The car is painted. A good selection of final pics. A couple of bits needed sorting but no drama. I'm over the moon with the paint.
I picked it up late this afternoon. Just missed the rain too.
Build on now with all my bits that are stacked up in the loft lol
Cage has also gone for powder coating so as soon as that's done it will be going in.
That's it for now

Re: Corsa Sting C20LET
I've seen this before on a corsa page this morning on Facebook, someone commented "it's still a corsa" and something about splitter scuffers
Looking good though mate!

Re: Corsa Sting C20LET
I've had a thing for them since my first one when I was 17 mate. It's only the same as someone liking mini's/MG's etc. To be honest. Mine will only really come out for the odd ring trip, PVS and Billing. I'll hardly drive it but I'll never sell Had it 10 years now
