Mines an 8 to but im sure they got more bhp out of the 1.0 12v

The 1.0 12v has about 54bhp so ye they do which is stupid considering the 1.2 is a bigger engine but i no Vauxhall restricted the bhp on this engine in the corsa compared to the nova

Not to sure tbh read up on it all it said was to do with the engine wear but the novas are still going with them so i dont understand that one myself lol

The funny part is they only saved 10bhp by doin it

The 1.0 has more power due to it being a twin cam whereas the the 8v is single cam

But the 8v is more tunable the 1.0 so with a better cam, unrestricted inlet with a good free flow manifold and exhaust the 1.2 8v will make more power than the 1.0 and 1.2 16v depending on what you used

What cam can you straight swap into the 8v?

I think all 8v cams are a straight swap I can't remember which one gives the best gains though, think it's a nova gsi cam
