SRi's???????????

hiya im new!!
so be nice lol!!

has anyone ever had a problem with a SRi that the oil leaks out of the area round about the sump gasket and gear box??

cos ive had 2 SRi\'s in the past week and both of them had oil leaking out of them about that area!! and no-one knows what it was caused by it wasn\'t hydraulic fluid so it cant have been the gear box??

any ideas really need help with this???!!!

a lot of people do an oil change when they get a new second hand car

sometimes this oil needs a few miles to \'thicken\' up so it doesn\'t leak out at the sump

have u had it checked out?

ive no idea, never heard of it before, maybe its just leaking slowly out of the sump/ sump gasket, if the gasket has been disturbed in some way- such as if something hs knocked the sump?
im presuming you\'d know if its an oil leak thats coming from further up the engine

yeah i have a leak its actualy coming from the rocker gasket. but it all builds up at the bottom round the sump.
