Looking to insure my car (1.2 16v sxi)
Just passed my test and insurance is coming back at between 1800-2500
Any tips or advice to make this cheaper

Mine is also quite high, Johnny told me to say the car is parked on private property and value the car above 1000quid. Ring around and see if they are willing to drop prices to beat the compatition

Also try and get named drivers on with a couple of years experience with some NCB's that will drop it by a lot compared to what it is now.

I put my mum on it and it went up? I put car being worth £1000 and dropped by 200

Get a thatcham approved alarm, raise the excess amount you wish to pay

Oh when you have a accident it's how much you pay if someone claims then insurance pay the reat

I wouldnt put that to high as you also have compulsory excess which the insurance company puts on itself mine was 500 compulsory and 0 voluntary as i didnt notice much difference

But when i had my accident as it was his fault i didnt have to pay thei excess so i got the full money i dunno how it would have worked with voluntary

Oh no mines like 300 compulsory and 250 voluntary and she's smoking heavy on cold start ran for 10 mins and no change but dunno
