c16se Tuning

Post by rsi-dan »

You all know now that I am putting a c16se into my B but while its out the car I plan to rebuild it and improve / tune as well so what can be done to them

Plans so far :
Red Roose Motorsport hose kit
Timing belt kit
Water pump
Gasket kit
4-2-1 Manifold
polished and ported head
skim the head

I am told you can get VX inlet for them ?? this I don't know as though that was for the x14 and x16xe

Anything else for power I can do ?

Looking into it the popular things to do with these is cams, port and and polish and a 4 branch

Should give a 20-30 gain according to the interweb,

I thought the vx inlet was for the sports aswell but I'll try find out if they fit
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

I put a post on nova owners group about this and ive been told so many things to tune it

Omex 600 ECU
Bike carbs
cams

ect ect I could spend a fortune on it lol but been told if I spent the best part of £3-4k I would be running at just short of 300bhp :D :D :D

Why not spend 3-4k on a better engine that comes with that power stock and tune that? Plenty choices out there unless you wanna keep a vaux engine under bonnet

tbh mate I would be happy if I can get 200bhp out of the 16se want to try and keep it looking at standard as possible under the bonnet but go's like sh*t of a shovel
