White smoke&overheat

Right guys, been driving round all night and went out at about 11 this morning, about 2ish it cut out itself, when I started it up again, it struggled to do so and when it finally did it felt juddery and white smoke was pouring out the exhaust, any ideas? I know it needs a new radiator but can't be that can it?

I wud go with the headgasket. Check the oil cap when it over heats to see if steam cums out of it

That's normally the case mate loads of white smoke and quickly over heating u can also smell the oil if it smells of coffee then its not the head also see if oil and water have mixed in the water reservoir aswell

The reservoir does look a little dirtier than usual

Can normally smell burning when it overheats too! so it's a radiator and a head gasket I need now

To replace the head u need just the gasket kit and i wud change the water pump but check u have connected the fan up right just incase its that has caused it when u replaced the rad

Not replaced the radiator yet mate, not ordered one since I'm skint

and how much are a gasket kit you think?

That's the good thing with these cars cheap parts lol also the water pump is around about £20 if that's packed in aswell
