Hi again. Finally got round to checking air filter. Might be a bit too big.
Measurements of filter itself are 5" long with 5" diameter smallest end.
Metal pipe attached 8" with 45degree bend with extra 3" rubber tube for attaching
also small pipe leading off and a temp? Socket as well.
I Googled name on it "air impulse 2".
If you could let me know if it would be ok or too much air intake?
Thank again
p.s the end of filter when i put it against for measuring under hood puts it near front behind lights. Would this be ok?
This is what it looks like

Re: Air filter suitability........
I'm so confused here, do you think it's too big or can't you fit it?
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Ohh, I am sorry. I was just asking as it is mainly advertised for the MR2, Evo's etc.
It has a 3" internal diameter pipe. All I'm wanting to know is would it draw too much air in?

Depends if you get a cold air feed on it mate, most people just fit them without and tend to get heat soak unless there shielded.

Ok cheers. I'll see about getting the cold air feed as well. Them are the ones that attach to bottom grill then point to filter?

Why don't you just fit it to the car? Its like a 2 minute job then drive it... Then see if its okay before posting loads of pointless threads?

It won't draw too much air, the more air in the more fuel in so bigger bangs and more power
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway
