All rev counters are electronicaly driven, they run of the ignition coil. the wire that goes from the counter to the coil should be green, all you have got to do is find out which terminal on the coil it goes on to.

my rev counter doesnt work, but ive got a bit of a complex problem in that the vectra takes its rev counter pulse from the ecu, and therefore corsa rev counter isnt compatable, so im gonna change my dials for a basic set at some point, and fit an after market rev counter

as far as i understand it, the wire that feed in to the back of the dial works off electrical pulses (someone up there said it was a green wire) go back to scrappy. follow wire back best ya can to the coil, and make a note of how it wires in, take any bits off u think you might need as well
dunno if thats any help BaNNi

slot number 9 on the mulitplug is for the rev counter it should be a solid green wire, in most case the corsas have the wire but its a lottery on the looms to be fair mines didnt have it but when i fitted the calibra engine i used the wire from the calibra loom and get the pin out another loom and soldered it in and all is fine

mines is a 1997 corsa b 1200 merit but didnt have the wire but the 1993 corsa 1200 merit i got the plug out of had it

woo hoo, so my corsa merit (1993) has it? lol means less work for me, might have to take a brisk stroll to one of the local scrappies lol.

Any ideas on a basic price for the dials with the rev guage on them, bearing in mind they dont accidentalli fall into your bag without you seeing them......
