Re: Newbie here with gsi
Welcome mate the gsi is becoming rare around the uk these days and the slots are for a rubber splitter and never really seen many red versions only really seen white or blue tbh but it does look a really tidy car mate and some speedlines wud look good on it after lowering it
If it ain't green and black send it back

Re: Newbie here with gsi
I've seen a fair amount of Gsi's but only a few un-bastardised one's
There is but I'd imagine they'd be near impossible to find in oz since there rare here, irmscher made aprons for the what we call pre 97 bumpers, I don't know when oz got the facelift but you have a pre 97 anyway

If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Yer idk think it's a genuine gsi rather a sport like Blackie_No1 said. Yer I hate how some people ruin "bastardise" these good cars. I'm kinda think of making my own little lip. Nothing massive. Just to fill in that space then repainting all the black exterior trim pieces flat black

Yea that's what I was thinking, the sport came with GSi style interior and a choice of two engines, 1.4 16v and a 1.6 16v. It had "standard" looking bodywork compared to the skirted GSi

Re: Newbie here with gsi
No Gsi was 16v same engine as the x16xe minus an egr valve pumping out a mighty extra 2 horsies compared to the 1.6 in the sport and tigras
Looking into it Oz didn't get a sport model, they got the 1.4 in a buck load of trims and special editions and the only 1.6 was the Gsi sold from 94 till 00 so while we were getting sports Oz still got the Gsi with bodykit
Some of that info is off the interwebs so might not be 100%

Newbie here with gsi
Perhaps in the very early versions in '93, but most were a GSi 16v as badged on front and rear.

Yer ok. Has to be a gsi then . It's funny cos when I bought it the guy didn't even know it was a gsi he just thought it was a plain old barina so I got it dirt cheap

Well quite happy today. Pulled the two dents out the back with a gopro suction cup. And bought some satin black paint to repaint the black trim pieces
Just that one crinkle which I'll have to put some panel eating skillz on
