Hunting at Idle, hesitation on acceleration and kangrooing
I've got a Corsa B. 1.0 12v
Engine managment light is on.
Hunting at Idle, idles about 1500. Throat feels like its ether on or off. So will kangroo when driven. All happens together, and temperamental. So ether everything or nothing.
I changed the spark plugs, and cleaned throatal, with carb cleaner and egr cleaner. Was driving fine, then coupleof days later strted again. Also disconnected the maf sensor with no change to engine sound or revs.
Today I've cleaned the idle control valve (taken it apart and resembled fine) rest ecu but now when trying to turn over it wont catch without reving it. Even if I do rev it, it drops and stalls. Ive taken it back apart and redid it, just like the guide said still nothing. My thoughts on this could be that the idle spring that keeps the throatal open slightly at idle doesnt even rest on the throatal so the throatal is closed. Is that what I suspect it to be and not right? Correct me if I'm wrong.
Ive brought a new idle control valve and maf sensor. To be fitted as soon as they get here to get the car on the road. But want to find out what is going on.
Have put it on comouter to read codes. Code that came up are. P0100 (air mass meter), P0505 (idle speed control motor) and P1405 (egr valve)
Please help. Want to find out what is going on.
Thank you any information will be a help.

Well change what the code reader says then get the codes cleared and go from there

Re: Hunting at Idle, hesitation on acceleration and kangrooi
I'd put money on it being the icv
The maf and egr codes are probably thrown because of the bad idle

If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Re: Hunting at Idle, hesitation on acceleration and kangrooi
Hey guys, quick update. I took apart my old idle control unit. And cleaned it like the tutorial shows, followed instrustions, but it all back together but she wouldnt start. Repeated the process and still didnt work. When looking at it it did seem a little strainge that the spring on the idle control unit didnt even remotly meet the throatal body, so was completly shut all the time, I figure thats why it wouldn't start.
today my new parts came, so I put the new one on and again wouldnt start. Must add, will turn over but will not catch ules foot is on accelerator. So I put my old one back on (but I unwond the spring to allow it to rest. Little on the throatal body.)
She didn't like starting first of all but got going without foot on accelerator! WAYHAY!
what do u guys think? Something odd going on, or things okay?
By the way, shes still reving and idle at just under 1500, haven't test drove yet, but not so chuggy at the mo

Take it to a garage to be put a diagnostic kit, some icv have to set via computer so that could be why it wouldn't start
Did you change the maf aswell

Maf is changed, ive got a diagnostic kit at work, but may have to take it somewhere else formthe icv to be set.
Its still kangrooing, test drove and feels like acceleration pedal is ether on or off.
Couldthe pedal problem be part of it
