another idea for a new section
just had a thort that a reveiw section might come in handy so people can post reveiws of parts they buy.
the only thing that might be a problem would be other people adding comments to the end of reviews and making them really long so it\'d probably have to have every topic locked or a mod to clean up the reviews when they go off topic.

another idea for a new section
yes si that fosters IN THE SUN was most refreshing
ok, so a reviews section?? What section would this come in for one?? I could add reviews to the main announcements page on the portal, but the reviews would NEED to be VERY good reviews & not just \'I got a new bumper from xxx and its well good & fits like a dream\'
plus... who will head the reviews?? Cos how will we get said equipment/parts on loan/cheap to review them??

i was thinking of something along the lines of,
got xxx item
cost
fitted easily/ was a b!tch to fit
gains and such
sound quallity (ice)
a few pics
it\'d probably have to be stuff that people buy on their own at first or at least untill corsa-b.co.uk is the first port of call for all corsa tuners. then websites and companies will send us free stuff to review and keep coz we\'ll get them so much buisness by giving them a good review
only down side would be the ammount of moding some reviews might need if people start arguing about reviews but i\'ll do that if you want

I\'ll look into sorting it over the next few days, but as I only have net access at work, I\'ll have to see what I can do...
I agree with the format though, definately the way to be!
Reviews Section
Read/Write access for members to post details, but they can\'t reply... ONLY create new topics! This way if the topic is good enough, it can be kept, if not, bin it... Same goes to SPAM Posts, and they need to follow the Section Rules (rick, you wana write up a rough guideline & layout sheet for review requirements??)

paul did you see my suggestion for a \'pop up\' for new members?
basically when you click \'post new topic\' u get a pop up saying
\'before posting a topic check hints and tips section first\'
but put a \'do not show me again button\' on there to click on
i know sod all about computers so dont know hoe easy that is to do, and as i always say u have enough on your plate

yeah got that one but tbh its pretty much unfeasable... if i even spell right
popup blockers will stop it, and also members will get seriously ticked-off with it if they go from machine-to-machine...
