Re: Astra coupe bertone :D
Ok another little update, set about fitting the GSI headlights this morning, so bumper off then hatch back lights off, GSI lights on bumper back on job done.
Look so much better, well happy with them . So with that done then set about checking the fuse to see why my "parking lights" weren't working or to me and you my drivers side lights...found the culprit:
Then popped up to see my mate Sparky's LED and got some 8k HID's to finally get my HID's working so got to glue the bulbs on to the holders and then fit them:
So will put a pic up and update once fitted p the car . Comments welcome

Re: Astra coupe bertone :D
Ok started prepping a spare centre console I picked up, first I sanded down with a black and decker mouse with some grit paper:
Got bore so that after hour and a Half so gave up for the day.
So popped to a meet last night held by the South Wales Astra Coupe Owners page on Facebook so here's a few pics,
Befor:
Whiles there;
So on to today today's antics... Decided I well and truly hate the Lexus light after last nights coupe and hatch meet.
1st coat:
Then another coat and two laquer coats and back on the car:
Bye bye smoked Lexus lights
Also set about finishing centre console. So flatted back with 1500 wet dry and then 2000 wet dry. Then wiped with turps to remove the grease and dust. Then added a three coats of primer:
Then applied three coats of glacier white paint (same as my wheels) pics are of two coats ran out of decent light so will update tomorrow:
Not bad I personally think, so will get up in the morning and add another coat and then clear coat them and get them on
Comments welcome.

Cheers andy, I was unsure on white was going to go yellow but decided it against it and go glacier white to match the wheels .
Tomorrow the boot lid and arches are being done.

Yeah I agree and so did many others that's why I thought go with my wheels . I'll get one more colour coat on tomorrow then some clear coat and get it fitted and with blue LED's behind it, it will look even better .

Re: Astra coupe bertone :D
Ok another update dudes, here's today's antics. Finally got around to working on the boot lid, so got a hand held electric sander / grinder out and stated to grind the metal raised lips out where to boot strip has been:
As you can see not to bad, needs filling and flatting ready for paint. Then on to removing the broken immy spolier. So got a drill out with some heavy duty metal drill bits and set to work..
Then I decided while I was at it beings my lip spoiler was all paint cracked and chipped I'll take that off as well:
g
Had to drill the screws out as they were all rusted, that proved to be a nightmare, so now need to decide what to do with it, do I keep it and fix it or just sell it as someone will buy it beings it's a genuine immy one or just throw it out, if I keep it I need to figure out how to remove the old screws that have even sealed in and how to fix it..
Ok so with that off and ready to be sorted on to the next thing... Installing my freshly painted centre console, so out with the old in with the new:
While we were at it my mate had a set of 16" genuine softstars that have seen better days he picked them up for £70 with tyres...I know cheap as chips!. So started to rub them down ready for paint:
Got some filler on it and left it at that for the night:

Re: Astra coupe bertone :D
This thread has brought out my love for Astra's in this shape. Even thinking about getting a Bertone as my next car if I can find the 1.6 version cheap enough. Love it mate
