Cheers andy appreciate the comments even though it's an astra not a Corsa B lol. Yeah I laid down some colour last night... Teaching the mrs how to spray... All dried well apart from the cigaret lighter surround so need to rub down and re paint. I think it's reacted with the primer :(.

As for the boot lip:

And just a pic of how she's currently sitting:

So for today it's run the cigaret lighter down and hopefully get the boot lip filtered and in primer and the boot lid ready for paint.

Ok so finally getting around to finishing the centre console bits.. Had a bit of a mishap with the cigaret lighter surround... I knocked the can of paint on it whiles the lacker was still wet... Resulting in this:

Image

So had to rub it rite down and start again :(... So also finished the rest of it beings it drie a bit patchy, had to rub down with wet dry 2000 added anywhere coat of paint and a clear coat or two:

So got the ash tray out and started to do that as well. It's currently sat in paint but will update pics of that after it's dry and had a clear coat:

As for the boot lip and boot lid, hopefully that will be done tomorrow.

Well I'm well and truly pissed off, the coupe got smashed in to this morning.

Reversing on to the drive to turn around and some stupid bitch smashed into the front of it, she wasn't watching the road to busy talking to the kid in the front seat, looked up and whack. She tried to drive off, my mrs dad chased her up the street and stopped the car, She's on a lot of medication and has impaired vision. Police attended and revoked her license.

My cars f**k , ripped my bumper off, my bonnets all bent and moved over, my headlights scratched and my bumper bar is all bent.

And here's her car:

Not impressed I'm livid over it. So speaking to my insurance now, police attended as well.

It looks like they're going to rite it off pal because of the age of the car and and the damage to it. So if that's the case I'll see how much they want for it strip it and put it on eBay make some money off it, but what I want to know is will they still pay out?.

What a f*****g d**k. It's people like that that cause serious accidents, it's a joke. Good job you're ok though, the car can be replaced. Loved it though :( why would the insurance not pay out?

Yeah I'm so annoyed mate, she shouldn't even be driving, she had two crutches and was on a lot of medication, she failed an eye site test at the scene and the police officer present revoked her license there and then, she had failed to take her Medication this morning so was in no fit state to drive... She claims she didn't see me.. Even though I'm reversing half way on to my drive still moving backwards her car coming up the street... I'm fuming!. I don't know if they will if I buy my car back, will they only pay so much out or a full pay out?.

No I was In The car with my six year old daughter mate, I was taking her to school at 8:45am this morning, reversed on my drive to turn my car around I had moved no more than 4ft half on my drive still moving backwards an whack... Were both ok though but looks like the car is a total loss..or going to be!. I wanted to smack her mate but she's a woman... Couldn't.

It frustrates me that there are people like that about and still think it's ok to drive. It's just as bad as drink driving, it's an accident waiting to happen. As far as I'm aware they'll value the car, take away your excess and give you that amount for the car. I'm not sure how they work out the buy-back figure but you'll have to see if it's worth it first
