MAF?

Hi everyone i have a corsa b 1999 and having performance issues. When i put my foot down it sounds like its cutting out/loosing power. I changed the MAF with a corsa c 2000 model and have the same problem. Iv cleaned breathers throttle body and air filter nothing works. Paper clip test does not work on my car what can i do now? Please someone try help if you can.

I've got this problem on mine atm, the garage said it's a problem with the oxygen sensor but I have to wait till next week for them to be able to do more tests

The o2 sensor or lamba will normally make ur car run rich try the icv and my car has to be running for the paper clip after loads of flashes it shud give u the error code

Looked at the spark plugs perfectly fine so it's not running rich im baffled by this. @Tristan they will keep it in longer the test takes about 30seconds to do. I think its the MAF system as on slow ecceleration its fine put my foot down throttle body oppens sucks in too much air and aounds like a spitfire aeroplane. Doesnt help the exhaust is big. @andy w the engine management light does not come on only on start up. What pins are you using for the paper clip test?

When you start the car and leave it idle for a couple mins does the EML come on?

No only when maf is off

Does it run better or worse with the maf plugged out?

Its smother but not great and makes it amoke a lot.
