Did you take the nut off under the cap? If so try tapping the wiper arm with a hammer while pulling. Worked when my front wiper wouldn't come off.

Sorry didnt realise this was your problem, as said pull hard and tap the dowel with a hammer

Yeah took that one off, I'll give it a try when I get home after work, hopefully it'll work though haha!

I just used brute force. I just pulled it as hard as I could whilst wiggling it to get it loose and it came off pretty easily

You won't break it. The only way you'd break it is by snapping it but you just have to hold it close to the motor so there's nowhere for it to snap

So today, I'm getting omega sun visors and wiper stalk off my dads car ;)

anything else I could get off it that would come in useful before it goes to the scrap yard!
