Make sure there is nothing obstructing the cable over the whole length of it first, lift the carpet at the lever too and make sure nothing is obstructing it there either

I'll look into it but it sounds like an admin job

I won't be able to get the pics back though, that's down to who ever hosted the pics

Well,

im working on my car getting it ready for MOT

the two front tyres are bald and ive ran out of time.

Can i fit 2 good alloys R15 to the rear
And 2 good steel R13 to the front ?

Ive also broke my oil sump plug so im going to have to try and get that fixed after MOT. ive used liquid gasket to try and stick it back on for now.

this is how I understand it aswell

as long as the tyres are the same size across the axle it's fine, and same brand across a driving axle

OK spent 5 and a Half Hours working on the car today getting ready for MOT in the morning.

Used the liquid gasket to stop the oil leak from the broken oil sump plug. hopefully he wont spot it now even tho its BRIGHT BLUE LIQUID GASKET, was tempted to spray paint it black to hide it but thought i just cant be arsed any more, just glad its stopped leaking.

bought a seat belt buckle kit on ebay for £20. in the hope to replace the driver side buckle. what i didnt know is you have to replace the whole thing. as theres a big steal cable wrapped around a bolt that cant be unscrewed so that shattered my plan to replace it. so after trying to find the perfect replacement spring in all the pens in the house. managed to take one of the springs out of the new kit and cut off a few coils to make it fit perfectly.

Put air into the drag car set up wheels seems to handle alot better than the baldy front alloys. no wonder it was pulling to the left lol

had a quick check of the lights and all seem fine. washer jets seem fine (for now) double checked a few things that was pointed out at last years MOT and all seem fine.

Completely cleaned inside and out.

Cars Spotless ready for inspection. still has stone chips and rust marks in the body work but not much i can do about that, shes 14 year old after all.

So went to the test this morning, sat nav brought me to the wrong place so showed up 5 mins late .. Great start :(

The girl wasnt one bit happy but done the test anyway, the attitude she gave me was unreal :-?

First thing she pointed out was the rear licence plate bulb was out.

After that she moved onto the Head Lights, and i can see it flagged on computer the driver side was fail, so i asked if i could adjust it, after more stick she agreed and i managed to pass it.

After that, she took the car stuck it on the lift, and boy did she have fun banging it to death with something i couldn't tell but sounded like a hammer looking for anything she could. i thought she was banging at the Oil Sump and the Temp Liquid gasket patch i made which again remember is bright blue ! you cant miss it. but no she pulled it out and i thought i got away Scot free but she said the passenger steering track rod end was rusted.

Got home, bought a brand new part for £11 and got it fitted in about an hour, all ready for re-test this Wednesday.. in a DIFFERENT test center.

P.S - Also picked up a replacement oil sump for £25 second hand just needs a good clean and fitted.

All i can say is... Big whoop wana fight about it ?
