You'll barely notice a difference, there 1-3% stiffer, if you want a better ride 25% stiffer is about as early as you'll feel a difference mate
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Not really worth it then.
May not matter anyway found a cheap 1.4 sport going local so hoping to buy it tomorrow.
The wheel are standard and so does the suspension look like it is, I want to put 15in wheels on it then lower it a bit, any ideas of an ideal mm drop on the springs that wont compromise the shocks ?.
I rather hone in on handling over looks.

You can't lower it on standard shocks and have good handling unfortunately mate

You can lower 40 without ruining your shocks but it'll ride like a boat, 40 or 60 mil with shortened shocks is ideal for good handling, you can buy cheap coilovers for around the price of good shocks aswell if you wanted to go that way at it

If it breaks,

Coilovers have been on my mind but I'm worried about how stiff they will be driving quick on rough surfaces wheel hop is a nightmare lol.
I think for the cheaper branded coils it could be worth a try fir the cash they cost xxxxx

With coilovers they get stiffer depending on how low you go(giggity) so you can keep adjusting till it's how you want
