Re: Astra coupe bertone :D
Ok update time guys, I decided on a colour for the wheels but also came up with a little idea for the wheels... So popped out friday morning to grab some paint from Halfrods and over to WHAT to pick up some bring els:
So two tins of gloss black, two Tins or high build primer and two tins of clear coat and a tin of blue glitter.
So began by doing the centre caps, rubbed down with some hard grit sand paper on an electrical black and decker mouse, then sprayed and flatted back with some wet dry 2000 and 1500
Then I applied two coats of gloss black and a dust coat of glitter:
Then applied a clear coat and flatted back with 2000 wet dry then polished up:
Ok next on to the wheels them selfs, again same process with the grit paper sanded back, then a coat of high build primer, flatted back with 2000 wet dry, then another coat of high build
then flatted back with 1500 and applied two coats of gloss black
Didn't take a picture of the forth but had to have two tyres popped off, you get the idea. While they were wet in gloss I applied a dust for of blue glitter left to dry for 15 minutes a little helping with a hair dryer then applied three coats of clear coat and left to set over night.
Whiles they were drying I picked up another set of lights, standard ones this time and a tin of tint spray and smoked the lights:
So woke up this morning and fitted them p the car:
Then set about polishing up the wheels, got the mop out and used a hard mop with some g3 and a soft mop with some finishing compound and here's the end result:
So just Got to get them fitted with tyres and balanced now. Update on the bumper to follow. Comments welcome.

Astra coupe bertone :D
Ok so woke up this morning and let's just say I'm not amused... Some little custurd has decided to do a number on one of my wheels over night...had them laid out all flat on the floor user the stairs drying letting the clear coat go off.
Found a brush and a mop laying on top of them and then came across this...
So now I've got to go get more paint as clear coat and start again... Not happy at all.

Re: Astra coupe bertone :D
Ok so another little update, still ain't doing out who did my wheels over but I've got a good idea.. Just have no proof.. So setting that aside on to the rest..
Bumpers been fire glassed, filled and put in high build primer ready for paint:
Ready for paint and ready to go looking sweet rite .
Also have this on the go as well:
Also decided to put my new bumper bar on but didn't go to plan... Found that there's more structural damage to the car than first thought:
It's bent and buckled rite out of shape and it's miles out from where it's meant to be meeting the bumper bar... So that put a stop to that
So did this instead:
Comments welcome.
