My airbox wasn't screwed in so are you sure you're looking at the right thing? It will pass aslong as you cant see the holes :)

It will pass with a drilled air box
But you can get heat soak that can cause flat spots
You are best to de restrict it and fit a panel filter

A good service. Oil change and new air and oil filters will make more of a difference. Once you can eat your dinner of the engine and all fluids are fresh and erg hoses checked, all you're doing is trashing your air box.

There's a plastic screw that doesn't look like a screw, it's front middle of the box

All drilling an airbox does is give induction noise without doing damage to your maf, make sure to.only drill the wing side so there no heat soak from the engine and dont drill above the filter obviously
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Right ok thanks I'll have a look for that tomorrow, sorry for the stupid questions guys I'm very new to all this, and I've read up about that heat soak too. I'll be sure to only drill wing side, and tbh that's all I want is the noise at the moment, it's just a free mod and hopefully sounds better than it does now lol, and stanceworks have you got a flat spot from even drilling the wing side? You two know your stuff haha, appreciate the help.

I only drilled the wing side and it only happens when the engine temp is near 100°. Dosent sound loud or anything but when you tear the arse off the car it sounds like an induction kit lol
