injectors

Post by chaza »

I have a corsa b 1.0 12v 1998, I want to get to the injectors to check if any are defective, how do you get the plastic cover off them. the car is running a bit wobbly, I did a vacuum reading at the fpr and got no reading, so part of me is thinking vacuum leak, but it sounds like a dodgy injector also. the car is poor on full throttle, the thing is I am not getting any trouble codes, the eml is not lit, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Try your coil pack as they can break down and it's quite common on the x10xe engine
Could even be spark plugs
As for your vac pipe is it connected to the inlet manifold
They have a rubber pipe make sure you got no splits in that

I have replaced the coil pack, as far as I can see the vac pipes are in tact, the plugs I took out first and they are showing the correct kind of deposits on them to indicate correct mixture, light brown deposits. thanks for your help, I know its going to be something silly. my next thing is going to replace the air mass.

here is the update to this problem. while I haven't found the problem, the car has found its power, my suspicion is just a blocked injector, I will do a vacuum test ia a couple of days and see how she is.
