Clutch whine

Post by tonyhugill »

Hi. I have a 1998 1.4 corsa president hi torque. There is a slight whining/grinding sound which goes louder as I press the clutch and disappears when I lift it up with my foot. All the gears work fine and the car drives OK. I'm thinking thrust bearing, anyone think it may be something else?

Sounds like the release bearing to me
I would replace it along with the clutch
