Hi - nubie here. I've just bought my son a '97 Corsa Merit and noticed when the radio is on the speedo dies. I understand this is due to an incorrectly wired after market radio. The butchers who fitted this radio cut the wires to the iso block and replaced it with a chocolate box. Before I do any damage please can some one confirm the correct wiring. I tried swapping the yellow & red (on the radio side) over, but it made no difference.
On the photo below the radio wiring is on the left
Thanks for your help
Edit:- I Think I have sorted the speedo problem - the blue auto antenna wire was connected to the Red/blue speedo cable. Removing that has got the speedo working with the radio on.
My next question is should the thick red wire (car side) be connected to the thin red wire or should the two red wires be connected together?

Sounds like someone has tried to keep the display on
As this is done by cutting a blue wire
