Supposed the paint work is bad as it looks really clean in photos,

Welcome along mate
car looks very clean and a great base
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Engine out, need to remove a few more things then will paint the bay and fit my C14NZ engine.
Got some CDX Alloys fitted will be powdercoated white eventually.
Started to polish up my spark plug tubes as they looked a bit scabby.
Few bits I have to fit: Debadged grille, Delocked door handles, astra mk3 steering wheel and astra clear side repeaters.

While you have it striped you should take off the anti roll bar and wishbones and clean them up and give them a paint, you could fit some polybushes if there within budget
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Definitely take the tie bars off and sand them and paint them, there serious for rust, mostly surface but eventually surface rust turns to rot
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
