Here's an image of what happened and the location.

Looking at the picture i now know for a fact there's not much else i could have done to avoid it.
That is a very busy road and not very wide cars do upwards of 50 / 60+ Mph on it
Its on a blind bend
i needed to go home in the opposite direction the car was facing, which meant doing a U-Turn
In picture 2 you can see what i had planned to do but with not much room and traveling at such slow speed i did not want to move onto the busy road.
i thought i had a bit more room on my left, but the passenger wheel dropped down as shown in picture 1 and thats when all the damaged happened :(

Im glad i looked back on these Google pictures, because i kinda felt it was a stupid mistake that could have been avoided, but there was too many risks and odds against me that morning :(

Was working on the new , second hand , oil sump as i busted the oil plug on my current one.

it was covered in sawdust and caked in oil so i decided to give it a deep clean

thats a base layer of anti rust primer, il put down a few coats of black High Temp engine paint over it

Cheers Andy, its only the 1st coat. i just need to get a move on before the weekend.
Also need to get a Oil Sump Gasket then when its done keep it in the boot of the car, ready to drop into a mechanic any time im driving around. I like to have it to hand and ready to go at the drop of a hat just in case as all my trusted mechanics live 30mins away and im only ever down that way on Saturdays.

Getting the new oil sump fitted next saturday, might also get new brake pads fitted as well.

Left the bonnet with the painter / panel beater.

we talked about what i had planned to get done and came up with a figure around £250 / £380

Bad boy bonnet, resprayed top and bottom and fitted
GSI skirt and arches touched up with paint and glued back into place at any part the glue came away from the heat.
passenger door beat back into shape and resprayed.
and also for him to go around the car and any wee rust spots / scratches to polish them out and respray it.

should look brand new when completed.

How much do you think it would cost or how much are you willing to pay to get an oil sump fitted ?

i supplied the oil sump, new gasket and oil filter

it will need fitted, oil drained and new oil added, exhaust dropped to gain access.

so only items chargeable that i can think of is Labor and Oil

Around 50-80 quid I'd guess

I'd charge around 30-40 quid depending on how awkward the exhaust is
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Cheers Johnny,

yea its gona cost £60 to get fitted.

i also had more fun this morning when my center exhaust dropped while driving, rotted through.
had to take a hack saw to the rear section of the center pipe to free it from the back axle that way to save the rear back box.

its going to cost £75 to get replaced. but it might be coming back with the Irmscher Twin D exhaust i had and never got around to fitting...

60 is a decent price tbh, when you consider its 15-30 quid for the oil depending on the brand then it's near an hours work

Mine broke/rotted at the exact same place, 75 is steep for a mid pipe though, I replaced the cat back for 120

Exhaust Fitted.

He wasn't able to fit the sport back box. even tho he tried he said it was loose or something ? would probably need modded a bit to get it to fit.

but theres a new shiny center section in place now.

And im not sure yet but it seems to have a bit better lift out of it now and runs smooth and i cant hear any knocking from it.
i need to drive around in it a bit more tho.

id say if it was leaking exhaust fumes that close to the engine it was probably choking the engine a bit maybe.
