rear speakers in my combo
Can anyone tell me where the rear speaker wires are in my combo? They are plugged in to the back of the stereo but then disappear in to the loom.
The combo is the same as the corsa up until the backs of the front seat so I guess the speaker wires run the same route, but really I have no idea

Re: rear speakers in my combo
They end at the big terminal block in the passanger kick panel. I spliced in there to run rear speakers and a sub

I also fitted a line convertor for the sub in the same place

What's a line converter?
I'm hoping to put an amp and sub in the back, I had the sub in a previous vehicle and it was too quiet so figured an amp is needed. I'm pretty new to this sort of thing. I've been driving for 19 years but never fitted an amp haha

A line convertor converts the high level outputs from your head unit that would go to your speakers to low level outputs to run an amp. Any sub will need an amp. Some new head units will have phono connectors already in place where as if you are running a stock vauxhall unit it won't. To add more confusion some amps come with high level inputs and a built in line convertor. Depends on budget but a good starter for 10 would be upgrade your front speakers. Kits on ebay. Get an active sub and wiring kit then if needed fit a line convertor. http://www.halfords.com/sat-nav-audio/c ... -connector . I fitted one so I could fit a sub in the van but keep the interior stock.

I have a Sony head unit with those rca type connections at the back. They are for the amp then yeah? I'm planning to fit two rear speakers separately too.

Yeah. But you will still need to run electrics for the amp and a signal wire. But you won't need a line convertor

I've just been reading your other post. I suggest you get an auto electrician or good streo shop to look before you wire in anything

Yeah I know, that side of things is all taken care of. It was just the end of the rear speaker wires that I couldn't find. I thought they might run all the way to the back so it would be much let work than burying new cables the whole length of the cabdiggerhole wrote:Yeah.
