1.2 8v or 1.4 8v

Got the choice of my current 1.2 8v engine or a 1.4 8v astra engine. Ano this is probably a stupid question but which of these has more potential for tuning ? as I think the astra engine only has about 15 more bhp as standard, ive been told my b has 45bhp and the astra has 59 bhp is this correct ? cheers

Depends on engine code, some 1.4s are dead but then if you find a c14se they have 80 standard with alot of potential

If it is the 60 hp engine I'd pass, a 1.2 16v Comes 65hp standard, even the 1.0 would could scrape a win if he had quicker gear changes

Ill get the code of the engine when the cars delivered on Saturday hopefully its the C14SE but with my luck I doubt it. only paid 100 for the whole astra tho so can't really complain too much
