Okay so I had a late night last night woke up to go home from my girlfriends to find out my car alarm had threw a hissy fit and deadlocked the car. Which left me stranded, cold, hungover, in the dark with no phone battery . After two hours of f**king around in the freezing cold with only a 10mil spanner and stubby Phillips I keep in the car to disconnect the battery if there's ever an electrical Fire, I managed to get the car open, open the bonnet and wrap the siren in a towel to keep it quiet. Disconnect the battery then find the alarm module and disconnect it. Glad I keep that spanner and screwdriver under my seat now..
This is definitely not an experience I want to re-enact further into the winter.
I won't be reconnecting that alarm module and I'm considering a whole new system now since I'm having problems.
What I'm looking for is a good quality alarm/remote central locking from a reputable company that doesn't make a loud beeping sound when I activate it/lock the doors (I still want the hazards to flash). If possible a system that will close my windows if they're open would be good.
The system fitted on the car is probably 5-8 years old but feel quite out dated.
Anyway any advice or experience anyone can share will be appreciated
Thoughts on alarm systems? Trustworthy systems!

I did have a look and found a couple of Clifford's but I couldn't find any info such as reviews so was looking for someone who's had first hand experience with a decent system
