corsa b engine convertion

corsa b engine convertion
I am looking at converting a 1.2 8v to a 1.0 12v (as have a good engine) what is involved , do I need to change the loom or will it go ? many thanks matt

imo buddy i wud stick with the 1.2 as ive seen the 1l have more problems plus why wud you downgrade the engine when upgrading is more viable tbh and im sure the 1.2 is dearer to insure and irrc the harnesses are different and after changing all the loom and everything wud just be cheaper to just buy a 1l

A 1.0 liter is an upgrade from a 1.2 8v, extra 10 ponies from the 1.0
Looms different, mounts are different, shafts are different, and just about everything else your better going and yanking a 1.4 8v from an astra and it'll bolt straight in with all the old gear sell the 1.0, there fetching about 200 quid atm I think

Agree with Johnny i'm fitting a 1.4 8v astra engine to my 1.2 8v as don't get many problems with them
