Star silver over beige high build?
I'll probably put the grey primer on because it's what I always do, but I've heard of putting silver straight over beige high build. Anyone done this and got good results?

It'll still still come out the same, just might need an extra coat, the colour of the primer doesn't matter as much as people think, when you lay your first coat you should only be dusting it on so your third coat is already going on over a good solid coat of silver
Primer colour only matter if your skimping on top coat, with silver primer you could get away with 2 coats but with yellow you need 3-4 coats which is the proper amount to paint tbh

If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Re: Painting
Yeah I always mist the first coat but I usually only do two coats also as I find that normally good coverage with quality paint. Just wondered if it gave the same finish as I've always been taught to use the correct colour primer to get the best possible colour. Dunno if this matters more with other colours such as blues and reds?
