Short shift
Gear linkage is getting a bit wayward on my b so considering changing the bushes n think I may aswell put a short shift on.
Was going to modify my own but don't think that's a good idea ha.
Saw this one on eBay looks similar to lmf kit but 25/30 quid cheaper

Anyone fitted a short shift? Is it difficult/fiddly/time consuming?

Re: Short shift
There basically the same, lmf one is made to higher standard/use better quality steel
You can see the difference in quality in the pics, but they both do.the exact same thing
There not overly difficult to fit, the bushes can be fiddly

If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Do you mean the two that are at either end of the linkage? Or the two for the centre that are original/not nylon?

What a pain in the arse. Think I'll just stick with havin a porridge bowl for a gearbox for now haha. Not worth the money to do it..Barraclough wrote:Yeah tried every where, only option I had was to buy a full linkage

It's from Germany but it's the right kit I think.. Has all the bushes etc new. And quite cheap too I reckon
