What do you lot think i should do....

Right, seriously you lot, im getting a bit bored of the slowness of my car now and i want to either sell or upgrade my car.....

If i sell i would get around Â£3100 for my car (i have someone waiting to buy), now considering the parkers guide price for my car is Â£1695 thats ok, even though i\'ve spent quite alot.

With that Â£3100 i would be looking at buying some sorta quick jap car.

If i were to upgrade the corsa i would be doing all the bodywork myself, and be paying Â£2000 for the full respray in possibly candy red, and putting a bigger engine in lets say, spending aroung 3-4 k on that, modding it etc.

So that would be spending another 5 grand on my car that worth only Â£1695, alough it would be a kick ass car.

sooooo what do you lot reckon i should doo? i love the corsa but dunno if i can justify spendin out another 5k on her.....

Sell corsa for 3100, then buy a GSi for 1200 and have a nice fund to start the modding.

It would be either a toyota starlet turbo....put big injectors on it etc etc etc get it to about 210bhp or maybe a pulsar, with nothing done to it coz the insurance would be so high, or an mr2 with nothing done coz of ins maybe a set of wheels though lol.

Starlet turbos\' are not really worth borthering, unless you want cheap insurance and a dump valve.
and to get 210BHP doubt it\'s hardly a tweak this job more of a new turebo etc..

GT4 celica\'s are worth considerign, can be had cheap and the S3GTE engine\'s are near bullet proof too.

Sorry to say it bud, i know ur a mechanic n all but 210 out of a starlet isnt too hard, a good freind of mine has a starlet....dyno\'d at 215bhp at the wheels, he\'s not changed the turbo,but he\'s had to spend out on it....and to be quite honest its a giant killer.

they come in at around 135-40bhp as standard and can be made to be very very quick. full stop

wht about a renault 5 turbo , they are blooding quick around 0-60 in about 5 secs

if your talkin aobut 3k for one maybe an mg/rover 25 wid the bigest engine and they look quiet nice stock

I\'m always sceptical of high power figures, stock it makes 133BHP 115lbs which is nice but not amazing. And the amount you\'d spend on it to give 210BHP would be silly when for similar money you could get a GT4 put amassive turbo on and run well in ot 350BHP and have 4x4 aswell.

Get your friend to go down the strip and see what times he gets, if he\'s running a genuine 210BHP then expect 13.8\'s 1.4\'s if there less it ain\'t got the power.

but if your changing the engine its just the same getting a new car reliability wise.

i\'d go gt4 or gsi, cause if you do go gsi leaves you enough cash to get her respraed straight away plus go couple of engine mod\'s if you fancy.
