Ive just recently had to replace the gear linkage on my corsa
had to drive through rush hour traffic with only 3rd and 4th (yes my cars a 4 speed if thats not bad enough) 
Anyways, its now decided to make a knocking noise from the front left wheel, and when i turn one way it gets less, and when i turn the other way it gets more......although it still makes a noise when im driving along anyways.
My brother had a nova for about 5 years, and modified everysingle panel on the car (rally x wide arch kit, bumpers, roof vent, you name it lol) and he knows his mechanics, and without looking or hearing it seems to think its the cv joint. Also his female mecahnic friend thinks its the cv joint, who works for sherwoods incidentally. Although other people have said that its the bottom arm, and some have said its the wheel bearing. Can someone help me out on this one.
Also, my car is a 1.2 4-speed k reg merit-3 door lol, and for some reason, goes about 85mph on a flat, and about 94mph down a very very very long and steep hill lol......it takes a long time to wind up lol (although its just as fast as my m8s 1.2 in 1st 2nd n 3rd.) ......This is becoming an embarassment for me as my m8s 1.0 12v\'s go faster than mine top end
and so im absoloutley devistated lol.Ive been told its because its a 4 speed, and ive also been told its because its a k-reg and they were the first ones made, and so are useless.
If its the gearbox, will a 1.7 diesel 5 speed box go in or not? lol im useless at mechanics, duno if ya can tell or not lol.
