Corsa X14XE misfire problem.

Hi guys,

My 1.4 16v Corsa developed a misfire before Christmas and was down to a electrolysis corroded no.1 spark plug. I serviced it while I was there and did the following to give it a refresh:

*Spark plugs
*HT leads
*Coil pack
*Oil
*Oil filter

A few weeks on now and its back so I changed the Fuel filter at the weekend to hopefully get rid of the problem. Its still persisting to misfire in the morning on first start up when, it can last from 10-20 secs and sometimes cuts out from it, then misfires again when I start it back up until it then levels out. The cars drives perfectly fine after its stopped misfiring and doesn't miss a beat at all when driving.

Like I said it only misfires when I start it up in the morning and again on start up when I leave work. If I drive it somewhere and get out, then start it back up again its perfectly fine.

Any ideas guys? as this is starting to really make my head turn!

Could the tps need cleaning

I had this as well, same engine. Changed plugs and cables and did first proper test today and no misfires anymore. Hope it stays that way.

And by now I can confirm that it fixed my misfire issue. Not a single misfire since

If it had a tint of rust on it sounds like you got water getting in to the cylinder
