basically, the engine (when cold) sounds at times like its firing on 3 cylinders... its reving at 1200rpm & then judders but holds its revs, but when it warms & idles at 775rpm its fine...

and a few other bits...
Engine is serviced EVERY 3000 miles (full oil & coolant flush) I know its a bit excessive, but after 3000 miles I can notice the performance does drop & it does feel slower...
Also I\'ve removed the Secondary Air Pump, but the problems were going on before I removed this...
Timing belt was done last weekend aswell & is all timed up correctly, but I couldnt replace the idler pulley or rollers as I didnt get new ones... but the others have only covered 22k so will do them next time round...

Broster does think something isnt right with the engine though, as it seems too powerful for what it is
I need to strip the head off I suppose to check, but for now I need this problem sorting...Also, Adam-D says its a bit smokey, could you tell me when it was? All through the range or when I back off the throttle/floor it??
