you find all the rusty bits you dont see till it fails the mot a shafts you for lots of money

rust behind the accel pedal

light rust starting around the rear passenger bolt hole for the seat

the passenger seat mount has cracked

the drivers has been welded but the weld has a crack in so im gonna talk this over, see if other seat would be good, side mount rally seats and cut out the raised centre bit?

this is the worst bit
it has rusted almost throu, i stabbed it with screwdriver it is small but its almost a hole :cry:

best way to get sound deadning off is
wallpaper scraper
then do it again removing all the surface small dots
then white spirits

i think welding is something along the lines of £6 per inch. then the price of a metal plate (if needed) on top
dunno where ive got that from tho, just something someones told me at some point?

just took it to a guy who preps rally cars

£200 im pleased with that
come next wednesday illl have a safe rust free car

£200 blimey, thats more than i thought it\'d be. mind you that one near the pedal isnt gonna be easy to do
