Advice pls!!!!!!!!!!!
At the min I\'ve got a mk4 sri astra, thinkin bout sellin it and buyin a car to start an use for track days.
I was originally thinkin along lines of corsa GSI and stripping it, tuning it etc etc. I Put note on Migweb site and they think it\'s bad idea(suggested BMW 325??) .Any one got any ideas? if not a corsa then wot else would be cheap and fairly pokey.

I\'d recommend a saxo vts. They are quicker than corsa\'s as standard and you can get them up to 160bhp with cylinder head, camms and ecu upgrades. It\'s lighter than a corsa and comes with an all disc set up. Strip it out and it becomes a great track day car. You can get one for bout 3k with fairly low miles and then throw some money at it. Thats what id do anyway.

didn\'t really wanna spend that much buyin it initially, only wanted to spend bot 4000 at most on a corsa (£2000 for the car, £2000 for parts). Not too keen on saxo\'s, i know there quick but..................... Thanks anyways. Any1 else?

that\'s what i thought. small car = go kart handling big fun, pwoer can be uprated etc so not to worried if it\'s bit slow to start with. Other peeps also said bout 205 GTI but not so sure.

didn\'t say they weren\'t i jst meant that with decent deampers etc on corsa it shouldn\'t be too bad with tuned engine, stripped interior won\'t be that slow either i don\'t think. what does yours handle like Dodgy dave?

old mini cooper or mini clubman, 1.6vtec conversion and a bit of money thrown at it and itll be very fast, they dont weigh anything so power to weight ratio with a 1.6 will be better than alot of 2l conversions in many cars. They handle like go-carts aswell with a conversion to springs. Really easy to get parts for aswell, and if youve got a vtec in it itll never break down!
