Yeah it\'s a pain. I\'m gogin to be doing one.
No you can\'t
will cost about 600-700 more than a 2L conversion.

costs more cause the engines are much more expensive but getting the engine in and bolted up isnt to bad its just the wiring and all the pipes you need to work arround

I think that you should keep ur 1.6 engine! and tune that a lil bit! Allthough the redtops are very good on straights! the are terrible on corners coz ov the weight! oh and the wheel bearings on the front need changing.! tune the 1.6! u can still get around 130 with 1.6 , nd the 1.6 is much better around country lanes! :D

to be fair every engine conversion has its draw backs, yip the red tops heavy but its nothing poly bushes and good suspension cant sort out or even uprated rollbars, as far as wheel bearings go it really depends on the shafts you use my bearings are prown to go as im using astra gte shafts and the short n/s shafts is just that wee bit to long so it adds pressure on the bearing but theres poo loads of kits out there that sort this out id go for it(well actually ive done it to mine :)) you will love it and the smile will never leave your face :)

Piper Cams. Fast road cams. I have a few m8s who put piper cams a super chip, a full de-cat system and manifold into a corsa gsi. The difference was sumit special!! 8)

I reckon you wud be getting on to 130bhp, but its not just power u wanting, throttle response etc. but if u have throttle boddies which are more expensive, but r much cheaper than a new engine or turbo conversion and you can about 180-200 bhp

gas flowed is good, but u need every thing in combination! its no good have a super chip, without having a full system nd manifold
